This volume collects a series of performances that Cash made on the Louisiana Hayride program, no doubt saved by virtue of the Hayride's radio broadcasts on Shreveport's KWKH. The earliest recording, a performance of Cash's first Sun single, "Hey Porter," is nearly breathless, as Cash, Perkins and Grant drive home their railroad rhythm/5(6).
