There is more than one artist with this name: 1. 80s and early 90s Hard Rock band. 2. Eurobeat vocalist, Ennio Zanini 1) Fastway was a hard rock band formed by guitarist "Fast" Eddie Clarke formerly of Motörhead, and bassist Pete Way formerly of rogperfsokilsticlarilimembdicorboy.coinfo both players had been disgruntled with their own bands and decided to work together in a new outfit.

Fastway is the first album by the band, Fastway, released in May Founding member Pete Way (ex bass guitar player with UFO) did not actually play on the album, because by the time the recording sessions began he had already left the band. He soon formed another band, rogperfsokilsticlarilimembdicorboy.coinfo bass guitar parts on the album were actually played by the session bass guitarist Mickey Feat, who is.

And the move seemed to work initially, as Fastway's self-titled debut outsold any Motörhead album in the U.S. -- spawning the MTV hit "Say What You Will." But the group was unable to sustain its initial success, and lasted for only a few more albums before pulling the plug.

This is by far the best Fastway disc. The other 3 releases had a few good songs here and there but their debut is a masterpiece. This is not the first time its been on CD but this is the best version that has all the tracks from the original US CD and 2 b-sides that were on the We Become One single (Crazy Dream and Back In The Game).

Led by single "Say What You Will", the album did quite well, and the followup (All Fired Up) was successful as well, but after that things went south, with Clarke and several varying lineups experimented with a more pop-metal sound on the succeeding releases, and they never again duplicated the success of the first two albums.

Fastway had no full-time bassist at this point, and whoever played on the album isn't credited. King was a virtual Robert Plant clone, and to say that much of Fastway bears more than a passing resemblance to Led Zeppelin is an understatement. Despite its derivative nature, this is sloppy, unrefined fun.5/
