"Desire" encompasses the entire range of Bob Dylan's music, and you can see why this album was certified double-Platinum. It is also No. on Rolling Stone's list of "The Greatest Albums of All Time." If you like Bob Dylan, this album should DEFINITELY be in your collection. Thanks for reading!/5(22).

    * Items below may differ depending on the release. Review Recorded before Dylan embarked on the crazed, legendary Rolling Thunder Revue, a tour in which he took about 20 musicians all over the U.S. "Hurricane," the story of framed prizefighter Reuben Carter, is one of Dylan's biggest hits, but "Isis" is the one on this album you need to listen to until your ears fall off.

Apr 12,  · I think that one of the reasons is that I was listening to ‘Desire’ a lot at the time and they didn’t play a single track from it, so it was my own expectations that were at fault more than anything. ‘Desire’ is one of my favorite Dylan albums, and I have a copy on CD, but £4 for a decent vinyl copy was a must really/5().

Mar 24,  · With Dylan already being a myth by this time, Desire was Dylan’s most collaborative effort since working with the Band on The Basement Tapes, with most of the album being co-written by Jacques Levy, filled with wandering stories of gangsters, outlaws on the run and gypsies not to mention the true to life gangster Rubin Cater, where Dylan’s song proclaiming his innocence was /5().

Desire is the seventeenth studio album by American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan, released on January 5, by Columbia Records. It is one of Dylan's most collaborative efforts, featuring the same caravan of musicians as the acclaimed Rolling Thunder Revue tours the previous year. Many of the songs also featured backing vocals by Emmylou Harris and Ronee Blakley. Most of the album was co-written by Jacques Levy.
